Our Classic Horror Blog Ranked #2 in the World by Feedspot

Michael Kellermeyer

Dear Reader,

Last night I was pleased to get an email from the editors at Feedspot.com informing me that Oldstyle Tales’ Classic Horror Blog has been ranked the number two “Horror Story Blog” in the world, following in the massive wake of horror behemoth, Creepypasta.

Feedspot is a content curation and feed reader platform that allows users to find, read, and organize news, blogs, and other online content in a central hub without visiting multiple sites. It is also well-known for curating ranked lists of blogs, podcasts, and YouTube channels across different industries and topics.

Feedspot ranks blogs based on "a combination of factors, including content quality, frequency of updates, social media influence, domain authority, and user engagement," and these rankings are intended to “help users find high-quality content in their areas of interest.”

Oldstyle Tales has been appearing on their lists since at least 2017, when we were listed in the top 70 Horror Blogs and Websites, a more general list on which we are currently rated Number 38. In 2018 we were ranked Number 9 globally on the “Horror Story Blog” register, and over the following years we have very slowly inched our way up the rankings.

The only reason we have been able to make our way onto either of this tables is because of you and readers like you – because you have taken interest in our efforts to keep the canon of classic, literary horror alive in the popular imagination for future generations. I’m so grateful you and the nearly half-a-million people who visit our site each year. We’ll keep increasing the quality of our books and articles, and I hope to see you again, soon.

Gratefully Yours,

Michael Kellermeyer
